Description: O mapeamento refere-se ao arroz irrigado do estado de Santa Catarina - Safra2018/19. Para a identificação da cultura do arroz em Santa Catarina, inicialmente foiutilizado o produto MOD13Q1 fornecido pelo sensor MODIS (Moderate ResolutionImaging Spectroradiometer) disponível de março de 2001 até setembro de 2019,cobrindo todo o ano/safra e totalizando 19 anos de dados temporais. Esse produtoapresenta imagens compostas em intervalos de 16 dias contendo o índice devegetação NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) com resolução espacialnominal de 250 m, totalizando 23 imagens por ano. Por meio destas imagens, foianalisado o desenvolvimento fenológico da cultura e sua curva espectral durante anosanteriores e definido quais seriam as melhores imagens do Sentinel-2 para ametodologia aplicada no presente trabalho. Através das imagens MODIS, foiidentificado que o pico vegetativo (valor máximo NDVI) da cultura em Santa Catarinase apresenta entre os meses de novembro e dezembro e o preparo do solo (valormínimo de NDVI), nos meses de agosto e setembro. Sendo assim, a partir daidentificação dos valores máximos e mínimos de NDVI, foram geradas as imagens dediferença entre ambas. Após este processamento, que identificou as áreas cultivadascom o arroz irrigado, a vetorização foi realizada manualmente com base em imagensSentinel-2. A base municipal do IBGE de 2018 foi empregada para definir os limitesentre municípios e microrregiões. A escala de mapeamento utilizada variou entre1:2.000, maior escala, a 1:6.000, menor escala. Para o cálculo de área, utilizou-se oSistema de Referência de Coordenada Sirgas 2000 / UTM 22 S. Houve verificação domapeamento em campo com auxílio de técnicos da Epagri e da Conab.
